I think Terraria is a great game but you have to spend lots of time collecting resources to progress...

The Bottom Line:
Terraria is a really fun game that you can play single/multi player. You can fight each other build things and craft items. There are 5 layers of ground. Grassland, underground, rocky cavern, very deep cavern and HELL! or the underworld. You can find bosses of all sorts of strengths. Some items are easy to craft and some aren't. If you wanted to get this game you have to be willing to give up lots of time as a weakling and building from scratch, because some items take a lot of time to craft... I personally like building small, practical houses and making a HUGE underground zone or (Basement) However my friends are crazy and like to build on the biggest scale possible. You can build your house out of all sorts of different things such as stone, dirt, wood and bricks. Minerals, gems and ores can be found in the underground guarded by smalls of monsters that want to feast on you brains. So be wary as soon as your down there you have to get out, (Or save and quit and then rejoin) This is the hardest bit in the game is climbing out of caves and that's probably why they made to grappling hook for you...
This game is very addicting and has A LOT of content, you will not be disappointed with this amazing game!

The Bottom Line:
Total Score: 84/100
Value Score: 8.4/10
• Story: 3/10
o There is no story for Terraria, pretty much all it is , you make a character and choose between 3 different world sizes and from there you explore throughout the world fighting enemies and finding npcs which give some dialogue on why they are there and what is going to happen, but other than that, there's nothing else about a story.
• Characters: 7/10
o There arent many characters in this game, this game is pretty much a sand box game, you create a character, maintain that character's home base which you can expand by creating houses, buildings, etc. Once you make a "House" you get npcs which will appear from time to time, one npc per house, the npcs have no back story but they will respond to you in generic dialogue, you can make multiple houses and connect them, sometimes the npcs interact with each other and mention each other. Other than that, you'll find enemies throughout the worlds, and a few other npcs which gives you hints on bosses and dungeons. The main character is you, you design the character, gender, hair style, color and skin color and finally name them. Though there arent that many characters to begin with, you can customize your character to look like Link from Zelda series or Mario from Super Mario series through a series of mini quests.
• GamePlay: 10/10
o Possibly the best aspect of the game, this game is an entire sandbox, you create a character, name it, give it a skin color, hair style, hair color, gender and a name. From there you can create 3 different types of worlds: Small, Medium and Large, depending on which you choose, the amount of exploration and location of several enemies may differ. Each world you create randomizes locations of several npcs and changes the terrain of the world. Afterwards, you start off of a base which you can expand, create houses and than group npcs, you can create a castle pretty much by connecting houses. The game changes from day and night, during the day you'll notice regular enemies, while during the night you will encounter zombies. Later in the game you will encounter a area in the world called Corruption which can spread through certain conditions from the enemies which spawn within. You can also create a haven type of field instead of a corruption field to spawn new enemies. The equipment system in the game is pretty standard, you got your headgear, body armor, and shoes as your main equips, than you can have up to 4-5 accessories which can be interchanged. You can also equip certain armors on the social slots to change your character's appearance incase you like a certain appearance but don't want to sacrifice defense and stats for appearance. You can place certain items and weapons on the initial keys and interchange between them to use during battles, etc. If you press Escape you can open your inventory. Throughout the game you will find treasure chests , you can break them open with a hammer to take back to your base and use them as a storage device (only after clearing the items within). You have tools which you can use such as the hammer which was mentioned earlier can be used to break treasure chests, can be used to move heavy items such as anvils, you got the picks which can be later upgraded to a drill to dig through the ground. Finally you got the axe which you can use to cut trees to make wooden platforms among other items as well. Certain item pieces found throughout the worlds can be taken back to your base to create even more items. You can travel up in the sky to find special floating islands which contain special golden treasure chests, in order to open them you need to get a golden key from one of the few dungeons in the game. If you fly high above you will fight rare enemies such as a Wyvern and Harpies but only during a latter half of the game. There are about 5 layers in the game's world, you got outerspace where there is no gravity therefore you can fall or jump slowly, you got the sky, you got land, you got underground and finally Hell where you can fight one of the most difficult bosses which can be defeated to unlock certain additions to the game. There is so much content in this game, I would explain more but the review would be a lot longer than it already is.
• Graphics: 8/10
o Though the game isn't a 3D game or a game that would match in the same caliber as other games of recent age, it stands alone as a rarity since it is one of the few 2D games which will grace this generation. The game is mostly 32 bit with some 3D rendering, the visuals in the game seems to be top quality for a 2D game. The backgrounds and the environment were well done and personally look more appealing than what you would see in a game like Minecraft.
• Sound: 7/10
o The sound effects in Terraria are a bit odd, some of the sounds don't match what they should be, though regardless the sound was added in as a comedic feature, because some of the sounds are so ridiculous it will make you laugh which isn't a bad thing. Though there are some well made sounds such as the moaning of zombies and mummies.
• Music: 9/10
o The OST of Terraria isn't quite far off from the quality of recent games, but since the game is fairly new and it is expected to get some new additions via updates which commonly come out for it. The game currently has about less than 20 tracks, but for a 32 bit looking game, the sound quality is top notch, would make anyone wish their SNES or SGEN would been able to emulate such well made music. The boss battle music is well done and is recommended to listen to it.
• Length: 10/10
o The game is pretty much endless, you can create as many worlds or join as many worlds and explore, each world you create changes the terrain a bit and each size increases the exploration a bit as well. Fully exploring a world might take anywhere around 10-20 hours if you are fully dedicated and don't get stuck in obstacle areas. Even than you'll be able to add a few more hours from farming certain materials to create weapons, armor sets and costumes. If you finished all of that, the game's massive population will invite you online to their own worlds, there are many PVP based servers as well where often there are wars being taken place or epic huge boss battles against multiple bosses.
• Replay Value: 10/10
o Most of what is expected for replay value was already mentioned in the Length section, however would like to say that even if you finished the initial game (around 50-60 hours), you can re-create worlds and explore deeper into different types of worlds or you can go online and join servers of different worlds and PvP arenas and fight people or a massive army of Bosses. You can also explore a world you made or a friend made together.
• Player Value: 10/10
o If you are new to the Online world or are a veteran, you will love this game, this game requires you to have a lot of time on your hands to fully explore or you can play online with friends on their worlds or your own world and work together to get certain things done. This game has A LOT of content, you will not be disappointed.
Terraria is a super addictive Sandbox RPG Survival game.

The Bottom Line:
"Hard to describe"
In Terraria you have compleate freedom, you can do whatever you want whenever you want. Want to dig a large whole which leads you to hell ? Sure, do it. Wanna explore the world trying to find dangerous creatures to fight and tresure to collect ? You can do that too. Wanna build your own unique house, decorate it and then hold your line against a large wave of zombies ? Do it then.
There is no wrong or right way to play Terraria, theres just your way. Playing Terraria will make you feel like a chield again, using your imagination to set goals to complete.
The 2D 8-bit/16-bit art style and graphics in Terraria are very beautifull and pleasent to look at. Theres a fair amount of diffrent land scapes, jungles, hell, deserts, weird purple areas filled with giants monsters wanting to murder you and so on. The music in Terraria is also pretty good, alot of the songs are very catchy and easy to remember, my favorite one being when you vissit an area that has been infected by some weird purple substance called "The Infection".
Writing a a complete Review that would cover every part of Terraria would probably take forever and i'm pretty sure the majority of the people reading user reviews don't wanna read 5-10 pages just to find out if a game is good or not. Theres just to much content in Terraria and to many ways to play it . I gave a few example on what you can do, you can explore, fight monsters, bosses and explore dungeons trying to find gold and better gear for your character, dig tunells underground trying to find better material so you can build better weapons for yourself, you can build large structures using the material you gathered and... so many, many other things. I strongly,STRONGLY reccomend you get this game, it will suck so many hours of your life away you won't even notice it, theres just no reason for you not to buy it, the game's price is only 10 euros and during large sales on steam the price sometimes drops to under 5 euros. Go, go buy it now!
A gem these days !

The Bottom Line:
Hello everyone ! I hope i got your attention with my review title because this is a title that nor the younger or older game lovers should miss .
I have recently played and finish this amazing adventure game ! I must say that is the best feeling i had in years since the monkey island type of game . With all those boring and profit oriented games is really hard to find a game like this . The puzzles are just right and very funny , also the story-line is well thought and you cannot notice the passion that the developers put in it .The game captures your interest with a unique mix of fun, adventure, fantasy and storytelling.
I had many moments that i have found myself laughing as playing the game.
So , as a gamer since `97 ,who played almost all the releases up to this year , i definitely recommend this title who steps out from the crowd !
Definitely one of the best Adventure games in the last years.

The Bottom Line:
The Book Of Unwritten Tales is an amazing game.
The story is very well done and keeps you going and interested all the time till the end although the end let you with a bitter taste, I think is the only "bad" thing in the game.
Voice acting is just fantastic, you meet a lot of characters through out the game and every one of them is perform better than the other, the dialogs are even better, funny but not too much and there are lot of references to games, movies etc just great.
The puzzles are well done, just logical puzzles sometimes very easy others not too much but never impossible, finally a game that doesn't use a jigsaw puzzle!!!!!!
The music is great too.
I haven't played and enjoyed a game like this since maybe grim fandango.
And its like 15 to 16 hours long so nothing short here just hours of fun =)
